We discussed in our last OSP Meeting the OPS Radio Frequency. It was discovered crews are having difficulty communicating on this frequency and an investigation revealed a problem at the tower. The tower radio is needing to be replaced and instead of spending several hundred dollars to do this now, we are waiting until the new Motorola radio arrives. This only affects your ability to communicate with the communications center. Crews can still use the frequency to talk back and forth on scene. Since it is not a repeater and is not relied on for primary communications, we should be fine to wait for the new radio install later this fall.
